FlexLink published product detail for the RI20 semi-open palletizing cell aimed at closed-carton end-of-line work in high-throughput plants that cannot spare a conventional heavy-robot cell. The cell uses a KUKA KR20 R1810 Cybertech or FANUC M-20iA/35M arm, suction tooling for single or double pick, and a payload of about 15 kg. Rated speed is 12 cycles per minute.

Pallet height is specified to 2.2 m for EUR pallets and 2.0 m for industrial and US pallets. Carton size range runs from roughly 140×200×110 mm to 480×600×480 mm. Two loading docks allow one pallet to be exchanged while the robot continues on the second, which the vendor says can add about five percent capacity versus a stop-and-swap single dock.

The frame does not have to be bolted down and can be relocated by forklift, targeting brownfield lines where a civil package would kill ROI. Footprint including infeed is about 3.9×4.1 m, claimed to save up to 40 percent floor area versus a heavy palletizer. Options include a rigid interlayer module, configuration software, a tablet HMI, remote assistance, preventive information and data collection.

The design intent is to replace manual palletizing without a full safety-caged cathedral: semi-open guarding plus interlocks, short commissioning measured in hours rather than weeks, and software that absorbs pattern complexity that used to require specialist programming. For warehouse and plant logistics teams, the relevant signal is continued compression of palletizing into movable, mid-payload cells that sit next to existing case conveyors instead of requiring a dedicated building bay. That pattern also feeds automated dock and trailer-loading programs because stable, repeatable pallet build quality is a prerequisite for later unmanned loading.
